Can BC borrow Bud Foster's lunch pail for one night? Because these guys put in a heckuva day's work against Notre Dame.

Boston College defensive coordinator Frank Spaziani and his defense might have put together their best performance of the season, winning 17-0. They took away the running game and made Notre Dame one-dimensional, and forced them to turn it over five times. Eagles fans really couldn't ask for much more.

The Eagles' offense remained status quo and struggled to score without a short field, but quarterback Chris Crane did a good job of managing the offense while Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen threw four interceptions. BC offensive coordinator Steve Logan did a good job of putting Crane in a position to be successful.

There is no question Boston College has one of the best defenses in the country, and Notre Dame realized that tonight. Odds are one of the ACC teams remaining on the Eagles' schedule will find out, too.
