Duke lost Saturday to Richmond, 24-16, making it a complete toss-up as to whether the Blue Devils or Virginia will bring up the rear in the ACC.
Coach David Cutcliffe has said this summer he thinks this team is capable of getting to a bowl game, but he'll be the first to admit this isn't the way to get there. For all of the talk that came out of Durham about how much more confident and capable this year's team would be, it seemed to take a step back with this opening performance. Yes, Richmond is good, but if you're going to be taken seriously at the FBS level, you have to beat your FCS opponents.
