Here's another name for you, as ESPN.com's Chris Low reported, former Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin is officially in the mix at Clemson.
The bad news? Kiffin was 5-15 as a head coach. The good news? He knows what to do when he's got 1,000-yard rushers, 1,000-yard receivers and can recruit a 3,000-yard passer. Sounds familiar, huh?
Both Kiffin and Oklahoma's Brent Venables, and Texas' Will Muschamp ... they'll all make good head coaches some day, but Clemson has the luxury of getting an experienced college coach like Bobby Johnson or Jim Grobe, and those are the kinds of guys they should be going after. This isn't the time to experiment with somebody. That's what places like Miami (Ohio) are for.
