Miami quarterback Robert Marve is suspended for the Emerald Bowl, the Miami Herald reported this afternoon.
Eugene Marve told the paper his son is not transferring, but Robert missed too many classes and violated a team rule. Marve missed the first game of the season because he was suspended, too.
This obviously doesn't look good for the program, nor does it bode well for the Hurricanes in the game, but it's not like Marve is facing charges. While it seems as though the last violation might have deserved some leeway, it was the fourth time.
Miami has won with Jacory Harris before and can win again. But Marve was obviously the starter for a reason.
