Not your typical FSU-UM game

By Heather Dinich

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- The past seven games in this series have been decided by a total of 28 points -- just four points per game. The series has been split 3-3 in the past six meetings.

This year is different.

Florida State leads 31-7, and most Miami fans are no longer on their feet here in Sun Life Stadium.

Florida State is clearly the better team. Instead of coming out of their own locker room and making a statement early in the second half, Miami let the visiting team do that. The Canes' defense continues to miss tackles, and Miami has struggled to run the ball. Instead of the blockbuster thriller anticipated by the ACC's only two ranked teams, it's the Florida State show. And Miami hasn't shown any signs of changing that any time soon.
