Since I've been getting a lot of questions regarding Virginia Tech's chances against Nebraska, I thought I'd direct Hokies fans to my colleague Tim Griffin's recent blog post on the Huskers.
Griffin wrote that Nebraska's improvement this spring showed enough signs of a team capable of contending for the Big 12 North title.
The fact this Sept. 19 game is at Virginia Tech gives the Hokies an edge, and their 35-30 win at Nebraska last season should give them some confidence. Both teams, though, were playing their best football at the end of 2008, and expectations loom large for both programs.
They seem to be higher, though, for the Hokies, and this will be one of the tougher games games on the schedule -- especially if Nebraska continues to improve like it did this spring.
