Jacory Harris to start for Miami
By ESPN.com staff
Finally, a decision has been made.
Junior quarterback Jacory Harris will start for Miami on Friday against Notre Dame in the Hyundai Sun Bowl, the school announced on Thursday, but school spokesman Chris Freet tweeted that Stephen Morris, who injured his ankle during practice, will be available and it's possible the Canes could use two quarterbacks.
Harris played in nine games this season, starting the first eight before a concussion sidelined him for the better part of a month. This season he has completed 144-of-263 attempts for 1,756 yards with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Morris, who played in five games and started Miami’s last four, suffered a left ankle injury in practice on Tuesday at El Paso’s Burges high school. Morris completed 60-of-120 attempts this year for 958 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Morris is under continued evaluation but is expected to be available for the game.
