Running back Tavares Pressley was admitted to Florida State Tuesday when his associate's degree from El Camino Community College was officially posted, clearing him to begin practice with the football team.
Pressley, who should provide some depth at the position behind Antone Smith, hasn't even stepped on the sideline at practice this summer. He's just been hanging around on campus in limbo.
Like the rest of his teammates had to, Pressley now has to go through an acclimation period without pads, so it will take a while before he catches up.
There's a new rule in Tallahassee this year -- newcomers aren't allowed to talk to the media until they make a significant contribution on the field.
Odds are I'll be talking to him soon.
