And then there were three

Florida State dropped out of the Associated Press Top 25 this week, a hard fall considering the Noles were ranked No. 6 this preseason. There's no sign of Florida or Miami, either, as it's been a rough first-half of the season for the Florida teams. The ACC still has good representation with No. 8 Clemson, No. 12 Georgia Tech and No. 19 Virginia Tech. North Carolina and Wake Forest both received votes.
Unfortunately for the ACC, Oklahoma is still undefeated, which makes it tougher for Clemson to sneak into the national title conversation, even if it does run the table. At this point, the experts have penciled in Oklahoma vs. the SEC. Both Mark Schlabach and Brad Edwards have Clemson going to the Discover Orange Bowl against West Virginia, and they've got Boise State taking the at-large spot in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. While it's not impossible for the ACC to have two BCS bowl-bound teams this year, it looks like an unlikely scenario at this point.
