ACC Heisman watch: Week 9

By Heather Dinich

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has made the cut.

On the most recent list of five Heisman candidates I turn in to each week, Boyd was No. 4, ahead of Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson, who threw two picks and had an intentional grounding call lead to a safety. It’s not difficult to build a case for Boyd. He’s doing it himself every weekend:
All of that and you forget he’s in his first season as a starter. Clemson’s offense has been torching defenses all season, and while there are plenty of playmakers around Boyd to help make him look good, he is the one orchestrating it all.

Considering everything Boyd and Clemson have done to this point, he's earned my vote, and should be earning more.
