2011 ACC postseason Top 25: No. 22
By ESPN.com staff
No. 22. Terrell Manning, LB, NC State
2011 stats: He was fourth on the team with 76 tackles, had 14.5 tackles for a loss of 65 yards, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions, five pass breakups, two quarterback hurries, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
Previous ranking: Not ranked.
Making the case for Manning: Look at his stats. What didn’t he do? Manning made plays all over the field and was integral in NC State winning five of its last seven games. During the last five games of the regular season, Manning averaged nine tackles per game, had 11 total tackles for loss, five sacks, caused two fumbles and recovered three and intercepted two passes. In the win over No. 7 Clemson, Manning recovered two fumbles deep in Tigers territory that led to scores. And he injured his knee in the third game of the season and surgery kept him out two more.
No. 23 Matt Conrath, DT, Virginia
No. 24 Omoregie Uzzi, RG, Georgia Tech
No. 25 Brandon Jenkins, DE, Florida State
