FSU, Clemson, VT move up in AP poll
By Andrea Adelson
Florida State, Clemson and Virginia Tech all moved up in the latest Associated Press Top 25, revealed Tuesday.
The Seminoles are up a spot to No. 6; Clemson is up two spots to No. 12; and Virginia Tech is up a place to No. 15. All three teams won this past weekend and are favored to win their Week 2 home matchups as well.
Florida State plays Savannah State; Clemson hosts Ball State; and Virginia Tech gets Austin Peay. Though NC State losing was a disappointment, having all three ranked teams win and move up in the poll means it was a good weekend for the ACC.
One other note: North Carolina continued to receive votes after its dominating performance against Elon, and Georgia Tech also received votes despite losing to Virginia Tech.
