ACC in the morning: Finding Miami's heart

Nothing around the ACC quite compared to the headlines Josh Hamilton made Monday night, but there was still some news to start your day. (Don't worry, it's less than a week until the ACC football kickoff).
Here's what I dug up for you:
- The South Florida Sun-Sentinel did a check-up on the Miami athletic department, and the overall health report was "good." The interesting part to me was the trouble trying to find this program's "heart" these days. How did Randy Shannon become the most recognizable face of such a storied program? According to the report, though, things are looking up in Coral Gables.
- There was an interesting Q&A in the Atlanta Journal Constitution between reporter Matt Winkeljohn and Georgia Tech linebacker Anthony "A.T." Barnes. It was worthy of note because Barnes had no qualms about revealing "the beef between coaches" on the staff before Paul Johnson arrived.
- It case you missed it Monday, another ACC expansion story was in the Washington Post because of the five-year mark. No real surprises here.
