ACC leads the way in grad success rates

The ACC once again rated above average in the latest NCAA graduation success rates released Thursday, as the only automatic qualifying conference with multiple teams to score 90 or higher every year since 2005.

In addition, the ACC leads all AQ conferences in average score for football, men’s basketball and baseball.

Miami and Boston College lead the ACC football programs with GSR scores of 94. That ties them for the third-highest score of any FBS program. Miami improved its score by 27 points (67 to 94) from 2010.

The GSR includes transfer students and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing, unlike the federal graduation rate, which does not count transfers. The GSR and federal rate calculations measure graduation over six years from first-time college enrollment.

The most recent Division I Graduation Success Rates are based on the four entering classes from 2002-2003 through 2005-06.
