Setting up Saturday's ACC slate
By Andrea Adelson
It is a pretty light slate in the ACC this Saturday, with only four games to tickle your fancy. As a quick recap, here are Heather's predictions and what to watch.
Georgia Tech at Maryland, 12:30 p.m., ESPN3. Your turn, Shawn Petty. How will the converted linebacker look in his first snaps as the starting quarterback? And what will Paul Johnson do with Vad Lee and Tevin Washington?
Virginia at NC State, 12:30 p.m., ESPN3. The Hoos need to win to keep their bowl hopes alive, while NC State can become bowl eligible with a win. The Wolfpack hope their receivers can hang on to the football, while Virginia is looking for more out of its offense.
Boston College at Wake Forest, 3:30 p.m., ESPN3. Both teams are trying avoid the cellar in the Atlantic Division. Boston College has a little momentum after its first win against an FBS opponent last week; Wake Forest is trying to forget about its disappointing performance against Clemson.
Clemson at Duke, 7 p.m., ESPNU/WatchESPN. Can the Blue Devils play any better against another ranked team, a week after getting blown out by Florida State? Quarterback Sean Renfree is listed as probable, but defensive end Kenny Anunike is listed as doubtful, which could have a huge impact on Duke's ability to get after Tajh Boyd. Clemson got Sammy Watkins going last week -- has he finally found his groove?
