ACC recruiting updates
By Heather Dinich
ESPN.com's RecruitingNation recently took a snapshot of how each team in the ACC stands heading into national signing day Feb. 6. It's Insider content, but it's a look at whom each team already has verbal commitments from, and which recruits teams are still chasing. Pittsburgh and Syracuse are included.
There are plenty of highly touted recruits still uncommitted , which should again make for an interesting race down the stretch. ESPN.com's RecruitingNation Hot Board predicts that some ACC schools should come out on the winning end. Of course, nothing is a guarantee until the ink is dry.
A sneak peek ...
Florida State is projected to land outside linebacker Matthew Thomas and wide receiver Stacy Coley, along with a few others. Miami is expected to win over outside linebacker Jermaine Grace and a few more. Clemson and North Carolina are also mentioned. Check it out for the full scoop.
There's also some bonus recruiting coverage for Florida State fans from ESPN.com's Corey Dowlar, whose report includes who is leaving, which incoming players can help, who the key commitments are, and who the key targets are.
The Seminoles have two defensive ends -- maybe three depending on where DeMarcus Walker lines up -- committed to this class. Desmond Hollin, a juco end from ASA College in New York, should be ready to make an impact early because he is further along physically. Davin Bellamy, a speed rushing four-star recruit out of Georgia, might need time to develop but appears to have a bright future.
As of right now, the Noles have the No. 10 class in the country and tops in the ACC, according to ESPN.com's class rankings . FSU is followed by No. 12 Clemson, No. 13 Virginia Tech, No. 15 North Carolina, and No. 23 Miami.
Signing day will be here soon, so stay tuned. ESPN.com has you covered.
