Clemson closes strong as Crowder signs
By Heather Dinich
Clemson beat Georgia for one of the nation's top recruits, now Clemson fans would like to see Dabo Swinney beat Georgia in the season opener.
Adding four-star guard Tyrone Crowder, the No. 125 prospect in the ESPN 150, to the roster was a definite boost to the program, and it was also a strong finish to signing day for Swinney. It wasn't much of a surprise, as Clemson had been leading for Crowder's signature for a while. The signatures of Crowder and CB Mackensie Alexander were among the highlights of the day for Clemson's class.
It was a third straight top-15 class for Clemson.
"We got better today, that's for sure," Swinney said earlier at his news conference, which was streamed online. "I really feel like today is another step towards being the consistent program we want to be."
