Clemson police release security video
By Heather Dinich
Clemson University police have released security camera videos of a white pickup truck that investigators believe is linked to the vandalism of Howard's Rock, according to the Associated Press.
According to the AP, "the video [above] shows the truck pull up to the fence outside the stadium near the rock about 11:20 p.m. June 2. Two men get out. A second video [below] with a timestamp about 10 minutes later shows two men walking and dancing around outside the pickup before driving off."
Johnson W. Link, Chief of Police at the Clemson University Police Department, did not return a message left by ESPN.com this morning.
It was reported last week that Howard's Rock had been vandalized. The protective glass case around the rock was damaged and a chunk of it was broken off.
"It is very disappointing that someone would disrespect our unique tradition to this extent," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said in a statement released last week. "It is one of the iconic images of the game. I am sure Clemson police will investigate this thoroughly and hold the person accountable for this behavior."
