North Carolina tops ACC in Directors' Cup

By Andrea Adelson

North Carolina led the way among ACC schools in the final standings of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, which measures the overall success of a school's athletic program.

Points are awarded to each program based on its finish in up to 20 sports -- 10 women’s and 10 men’s. Four ACC teams finished in the Top 20, tied for second with the SEC among all conferences.

Stanford won the Cup for the 19th straight year. Here is a look at how the ACC programs did, including Pitt and Syracuse. I also included Louisville, which joins in 2014.
