Duke starts strong

It was important for Duke to get some points early, and the Blue Devils accomplished that, jumping out to a 7-0 lead over Georgia Tech. We've seen weaknesses in the Jackets' defense all season, and a quarterback as good as Thaddeus Lewis can expose them, and he did on the Blue Devils' opening drive, which ended in an 18-yard touchdown pass.
What's more impressive on Duke's part so far early in this game has been it's ability to run the ball. That's something Duke has struggled to do all season, yet they've already shown improvement early in the first quarter. So far they've done a good job keeping Derrick Morgan off of Lewis. Impressive start for Duke in all three phases of the game so far. They've given the Jackets reason for concern early.
