With only two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Coastal Divsion race is still wide open, and the possibility that Miami self-imposes a bowl ban still remains. Duke, Miami and Georgia Tech are the only teams from the Coastal Division currently in the race. At least one of them, maybe two, will finish 5-3. In the Atlantic Division, FSU and Clemson are the only teams still in the race.

Here's at look at how the ACC race stands based on what we know right now heading into Week 12:

ATLANTIC DIVISION
  • Florida State can clinch a berth in the Dr Pepper ACC Championship game with a win at Maryland (12 p.m. ET, ESPNU).
  • If Florida State loses, Clemson can win the Atlantic Division title with a win over NC State in Death Valley.
COASTAL DIVISION

North Carolina complicates things. Though ineligible for the ACC title and postseason play, North Carolina’s results and records still figure into the league’s tiebreaker computations, which first take into account overall conference record; then head-to-head competition; divisional record; and wins against the top-ranked teams in the division. Should there be a three-way tie with Miami, UNC and Georgia Tech, Miami would win.
  • Duke will go to the ACC championship game with a win over Georgia Tech this Saturday in Atlanta (3:30 p.m., ESPNU) and a win over Miami in Durham on Nov. 24.
  • Miami can clinch a berth to Charlotte with a win over Duke in Durham.
  • Georgia Tech needs to beat Duke on Saturday AND needs Duke to beat Miami.
