North Carolina has gotten super fancy with its tweets lately.
Last week, we saw Larry Fedora as Wolverine from the X-Men. This week, the Tar Heels present: #MayThe4thBeWithYou, featuring Fedora as Luke Skywalker, athletic director Bubba Cunningham as Obi-Wan Kenobi, defensive coordinator Gene Chizik as Han Solo and receivers coach Gunter Brewer as Yoda in their version of "Tar Wars."

The Tar Heels have pushed their graphics on social media over the last year, but nothing to the extent of these past two. Tony Tucker, who works in the North Carolina marketing department, came up with the idea to do a graphic for Superheroes day. Not only did he make Fedora as Wolverine, he had basketball coach Roy Williams as Captain America and women's lacrosse coach Jenny Levy as Batwoman in images posted to the school's Facebook page.
The images were a hit, generating more discussion than just about every spring football practice.
Then came Star Wars day Monday. Football operations assistant Jordan Sain made the graphic at the suggestion of graduate assistant Jonathan Rutledge. Sain does a lot of the graphics work for the football program, so he was able to whip up a design in rather short order. The result is pretty classic.
Carolina deserves credit for creativity. The tweets are one way to get people talking about a football program that needs to have a breakout year in 2015. Using social media this way certainly cannot hurt. Though it was not a concerted effort to make graphics for both these days, it would not be a surprise to see more coming down the pike given all the positive feedback they've gotten.
