Report: Moss had separated shoulder

Randy Moss didn't play in the Pro Bowl because he suffered a separated shoulder during the season, a league source has informed ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss.

The severity of the injury wasn't disclosed.

Moss appeared on the Patriots' injury report with a shoulder problem shortly after their Oct. 11 loss to the Denver Broncos (he had one catch for 36 yards in that game) until early November.

But he remained productive. He had eight catches for 129 yards and three touchdowns on Nov. 18 against the Tennessee Titans.

Moss started all 16 games. Reiss tracked him for 85 percent of the team's offensive snaps. Moss finished with 83 receptions for 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns.
