Maybe all those Dolfans who got riled up about Jason Taylor's decision to sashay on "Dancing With the Stars" last year will regain some respect for him.

One of the greatest players in Miami Dolphins history is returning to the team for a relative pittance.
ESPN.com's John Clayton reports Taylor has agreed to a one-year, $1.1 million deal with a modest $400,000 in incentives. A league source said Taylor wanted play for the Dolphins so badly he asked them to make him an offer that worked for them.
Taylor, the NFL's active leader in career sacks, will make about the same money as Cameron Wake, the Canadian Football League phenom who hasn't played a down in the NFL.
I posted an analysis Wednesday morning that explained why Taylor preferred a reprise with the Dolphins rather than signing up with the New England Patriots.
Taylor would have made more than $8 million to play for the Washington Redskins this year, but they parted ways after he balked at a proposal to modify his contract. The Redskins wanted to insert a clause that would require him to participate in 25 offseason workouts in Ashburn, Va.
Taylor declined because he didn't want to be apart from his wife and three children, who remained in South Florida after the Dolphins traded him in July.
"My heart has always been in Miami and so I'm truly excited to call myself a Dolphin once again," Taylor said in a statement. "I was presented with a number of different opportunities, but in the end the combination of this being the best situation for my family, my love for this community and my tremendous loyalty to a great organization made this an easy decision."
ESPN's Marcellus Wiley weighs in on Jason Taylor's return to the Dolphins.
