Jets welcome back Holmes, Revis, Pace

Santonio Holmes wasn't alone in his return to the New York Jets practice field.

I'm not sure if they all made a slow-motion walk together like the astronauts in "The Right Stuff," but Holmes was joined by cornerback Darrelle Revis and outside linebacker Calvin Pace.

Holmes (four-game suspension) will play Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings at the Meadowlands. Pace (foot injury) is expected to play for the first time this year. Revis (pulled hamstring) isn't so sure, but there's legitimate hope he'll return after missing two games.

These developments only further add to the intrigue surrounding Monday night's game, which will mark Brett Favre's return to the Meadowlands to play his former team for the first time and Randy Moss in purple again.

The New England Patriots traded Moss to the Vikings on Wednesday, setting up another potential Revis-Moss showdown.

The last time we saw Revis on the field, he was reaching for hamstring while Moss was reaching to make a spectacular one-handed grab for a Patriots touchdown at the Meadowlands.

It'll be interesting to see how Jets head coach Rex Ryan chooses to defend Moss. The Jets might prefer to ease Revis back into action, and guarding Moss would be anything but easy.

Revis didn't play the entire second half of that Week 2 game, and Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie held Moss without a catch.

Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis also was back after suffering a sprained knee in Sunday's victory against the Buffalo Bills.
