Madden ratings for AFC East posted this week
This week on ESPN.com's video games page, EA Sports has officially unveiled AFC East player ratings for Madden 10.
The New York Jets were first on Monday, followed by the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday. Up next are the New England Patriots and then the Buffalo Bills. A cool AFC East video trailer will be available Friday.
All of the other divisions have been posted already.
To get us caught up, the Jets had an impressive eight players with overall ratings of 90 or above. Fullback Tony Richardson and guard Alan Faneca led the way with 97s. Faneca also scored the Jets' only 99 trait (awareness). Nick Mangold had a 98 (toughness).
Madden's evaluators are confident Mark Sanchez will win the Jets' quarterback battle, giving him an overall score of 78 to Kellen Clemens' 68. But who will he throw to? Take a look at the receiver rankings. Rather deplorable.
If you're going to use the Dolphins, you better keep quarterback Chad Pennington safe. His injury rating is a frail 65. His overall rating is an 85. That's 19 points higher than backup Chad Henne. Rookie Pat White, because of his high maneuverability scores, is rated only one point below Henne.
Miami's receivers rate only slightly better than New York's.
