Jets own lightest Power Rankings schedule

NFC West blogger and ESPN.com Power Rankings consigliere Mike Sando put together an interesting look at the rest of the season by ranking each team's strength of schedule based on the quality of opposition.

Sando averaged out remaining opponents for each team by their latest Power Rankings position and breaks down the number of games against teams in the top 10 and bottom 12.

The chart shows the New England Patriots have the hardest second-half schedule in the AFC East and tied for eighth overall. The Patriots are one of only five teams in the NFL with at least four upcoming opponents rated among the top 10.

The New York Jets have the easiest path ahead for an AFC East team. They own the 23rd-easiest Power Rankings schedule with an average opponent ranking of 17.5 and more of them ranked in the bottom 12 than in the top 10.

But the Miami Dolphins seem to control their destiny a little more. Their only top 10 opponents left are the Jets and Patriots, games they must win to climb back into the division race anyway.

The Buffalo Bills have the 13th-toughest schedule. They have four upcoming opponents ranked in the bottom 12, including this week against the Detroit Lions.
