South Florida reporters have been tweeting that Miami Dolphins left tackle Jake Long will appear Sunday night on the NFL Network's list of "The Top 100: Players of 2011" series somewhere between Nos. 21 and 30 and be ranked by his fellow players as the NFL's best offensive lineman.

In ESPN.com's latest Power Rankings, Long was rated the second-best left tackle behind Joe Thomas of the Cleveland Browns. My ballot had Long first and Thomas second.

The NFL Network's poll of active players placed Long ahead of every other offensive lineman, including New Orleans Saints left guard Jahri Evans (top guard and No. 34 overall), New England Patriots left guard Logan Mankins (No. 39), Thomas (No. 43) and New York Jets center Nick Mangold (the top center and No. 47 overall).
