FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Buffalo Bills have made two roster moves before Monday night's season opener against the New England Patriots here in Gillette Stadium.
The Bills activated tight end Jonathan Stupar from the practice squad and released receiver Justin Jenkins.
The Bills waived Stupar at the end of training camp despite a marvelous preseason in which he led the NFL with 19 receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown. That's a full year for most of the Bills' recent tight ends. Stupar cleared waivers and the Bills brought him back for the taxi squad.
Jenkins was a special-teams player who was buried on the receiver depth chart beneath Terrell Owens, Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish, Steve Johnson and James Hardy.
