Coach Rex Ryan and the New York Jets have been to back-to-back AFC Championship Games. But according to ESPN.com's Playoffs Predictor, the Jets will be on the outside looking in after the regular season.
That leaves the wild card as the best possibility for New York. The Jets are in a logjam with several AFC teams.
Here is ESPN.com's playoff projections after Week 10:
No. 1 seed: New England Patriots (11-5)
No. 2 seed: Baltimore Ravens (11-5)
No. 3 seed: Houston Texans (10-6)
No. 4 seed: Oakland Raiders (8-8)
No. 5 seed: Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5)
No. 6 seed: Cincinnati Bengals (10-6)
It most likely will take at least 10 victories to get into the AFC playoffs. The Jets need to go 5-2 the rest of the season and may need some help from other teams.
Will the Jets get in?
