Here are the most interesting stories Thursday morning in the AFC East:
  • Miami Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall says New York Jets corner Darrelle Revis gets "Jordan" calls.
Morning take: Yes, Revis gets away with little things. But that's because he's earned the rep as the NFL's best corner. Sometimes that comes with the territory.
Morning take: In theory, yes. Manning would be a great addition to the Jets. But we don't know if he's healthy and the Colts say they aren't moving Manning. So it's a pipe dream at this stage.
Morning take: Buffalo will make a push for Johnson, but it the team doesn't want to overpay. The Bills probably have a good idea for his value to the team. The franchise tag also is an option, but I don't think they use it.
  • Guard Brian Waters has been a bridge for the New England Patriots' banged-up offensive line.
Morning take: Waters was quietly one of the best free-agent signings of 2011. He's been a professional and consistent producer, which fits perfectly with New England.
