The AFC East blog is full throttle on New England Patriots coverage during Super Bowl XLVI. But that doesn't mean we won't occasionally provide news on the other teams in the division this week.
The Miami Dolphins hired two new coaches to their staff. They hired George Edwards, formerly of the Buffalo Bills, as linebackers coach. Miami also hired Zac Taylor as the assistant quarterbacks coach.
Miami also retained Dan Campbell (tight ends), Darren Krein (strength and conditioning) and Darren Rizzi (special teams coordinator) from former head coach Tony Sparano’s staff. Last week the Dolphins hired new offensive coordinator Mike Sherman and defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle to join rookie head coach Joe Philbin.
