The Dolphins don't appear to need backfield help. They rank third in the NFL with 484 rushing yards, an average of 161.3 yards a game. They're 4.7-yard average per attempt ranks eighth.
Brown is seventh in the league with 254 yards and two touchdowns. Williams has 163 yards and a touchdown.
Torain, a fifth-round draft choice last year, is on the street because of multiple knee surgeries. The Broncos took a flyer on him despite a knee injury his senior year at Arizona State.
He made it back onto the field in Week 9 and was granted his first NFL start a week later. He was enjoying a spectacular afternoon, running12 times for 68 yards, before suffering another knee injury in the second quarter. The Broncos reached an injury settlement with him last month.
Tuesday's workout for the Dolphins was Torain's first since being waived.
