Buffalo Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin might have one of the worst season recaps for any player in NFL history. Last year's 11th overall draft pick already is done for the year.
Training camp: Routinely torched by Terrell Owens and Lee Evans in practice.
Week 1: In the final two minutes of a near-certain victory that would break an 11-game losing streak to the New England Patriots, McKevin fumbles on a kickoff return. The Patriots recover and score their second touchdown in 76 seconds to win 25-24.
Upon returning to his home in suburban Hamburg, McKelvin discovers his front yard had been vandalized. The final score and an obscenity had been painted on his lawn.
Week 2: McKelvin gets hurt in the first half of a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury originally is announced as an ankle, but later is reclassified as a fibula.
Week 3: Aggravated by the leg injury, McKelvin can't finish Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. It's revealed afterward his fibula is broken.
Thursday: McKelvin is placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Three-quarters of the Bills' starting secondary will be out for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins in Land Shark Stadium. Safeties Donte Whitner (thumb) and Bryan Scott (ankle) have been ruled out.
