In the end, it didn't matter one speck the Buffalo Bills went into Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins without three-quarters of their starting secondary.

The Bills defense couldn’t stop Ronnie Brown this Sunday – or anyone else.

They could've been down four-fourths -- or even seven-fourths -- of their defensive backfield.

The Dolphins were going to cram the ball down their throats with the run, just as the New Orleans Saints did a week earlier.

Here's a ghastly stat for Bills fans: Their team has yielded 472 rushing yards over the past two games. The Saints ran for 222 yards. The Dolphins ran for 250 yards.

That's the first time Buffalo's defense has allowed at least 200 rushing yards in consecutive games since 1983, when they gave up 200 and 211 yards in Weeks 7 and 8.

It's the worst back-to-back performance since 1979, when they allowed 510 rushing yards in Weeks 3 and 4.

It's also the worst two-game stretch for a rushing defense in the NFL this year.

Heading into Monday night's game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings, the Bills rank 27th in run defense.

The Bills will play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in Ralph Wilson Stadium.

If you're a fantasy owner, go with a fullhouse backfield of Jamal Lewis, Jerome Harrison and Chris Jennings this week. The Browns just placed James Davis on injured reserve, but he might finish with a few yards, too.
