Hall of Fame coach Marv Levy has thrown his support behind beleaguered Buffalo Bills coach Dick Jauron.

Levy, the club's general manager when Jauron was brought aboard four seasons ago, told Buffalo's NBC affiliate that owner Ralph Wilson should stay the course with Jauron.

"It's not over," said Levy, who led the Bills to four straight Super Bowls in the 1990s. "They're reeling. The Bills' best chance, in my opinion, is to go forth with the way Dick Jauron will coach the team. I believe Dick Jauron has the type of character and will convey that to the players on this team that will give them the best chance to rebound."

SportsNation's weekly head coach approval ratings have Jauron hovering at around 3 percent, the lowest for any NFL coach since the survey began last season.

The Bills are 1-3 and coming off an atrocious 38-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

"I understand the fans' unrest," Levy said. "It's been a long time since the Bills have been a strong team, and there were high hopes coming into this season. And, again, I think they've had some tremendous injuries and devastation in the offensive line, which makes it difficult."
