Morning take: Tebow gets 'Good Guy' award

Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday morning in the AFC East:
  • The Pro Football Writers of America gave New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow the annual "Good Guy Award" for his cooperation with the media.
Morning take: Tebow has high character and certainly brings that to New York's locker room. The most difficult part will be reducing the distraction that comes with Tebow-mania.
Morning take: It's possible, because New England was 31st last year and can't get much worse. The Patriots made several additions via the draft and free agency that should help. If New England can get to the middle of the pack, that would be great progress.
  • Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams talks about his teammate Mark Anderson.
Morning take: Both will be expected to produce a lot of sacks this year. Williams is one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL, and Anderson is coming off a 10-sack season.
  • The Miami Dolphins are playing rookie tackle Jonathan Martin and guard Artis Hicks on the right side of the offensive line.
Morning take: This is one of several question marks for the Dolphins. Martin, a second-round pick, has to play right away and Hicks is a journeyman free agent. Both are working to be responsible for protecting the quarterback's front side.
