Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday morning in the AFC East:
  • Miami Dolphins receiver Chad Ochocinco tweets to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that he will incur fines this year.
Morning take: This is part of Ochocinco getting back to his roots, but this may be the most dangerous part. The Dolphins do not need that kind of attention and potential penalties. They just need the touchdowns and production.
Morning take: New England also was in talks with the New Orleans Saints. Patriots coach Bill Belichick clearly wants to have his guys hit someone else, which isn't a bad idea.
  • Former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal says New York Jets quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are ready to lead their team to the Super Bowl.
Morning take: O'Neal is an NBA analyst. So I don’t know how serious anyone should take his NFL predictions. The Jets are not considered a Super Bowl favorite and will have a tough enough time winning the AFC East.
  • Is Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus ready for stardom?
Morning take: Dareus certainly has Pro Bowl potential. The key is for Dareus to win his one-on-one battles, because Mario and Kyle Williams will get a lot of attention from opponents.
