Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:
  • Should there be concern for the Buffalo Bills' offense after their 7-6 loss to the Washington Redskins?
Morning take: One of the first things I learned covering the NFL is not to overrate the preseason. The Bills' first-team offense worked on its no-huddle and passed the ball exclusively. I'm not going to make too much of the mistakes and sloppy play early.
  • The New England Patriots reportedly lost backup linebacker Dane Fletcher for the season with a torn ACL.
Morning take: This is tough news for Fletcher, who was starting to push for a roster spot with a solid week of practice. Now, Fletcher has to rehab until next season.
Morning take: I wouldn't say that. The Jets are a talented team that can do damage. They just need to get their act together and stay on the same page.
Morning take: Receiver Legedu Naanee and cornerback Richard Marshall were two free-agent pickups that are paying off early. Both have a chance to start in Week 1.
