Here are the most interesting stories Saturday in the AFC East:
The Miami Dolphins' starters struggled on both sides of the ball in a 20-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Morning take: It was not a good debut for Miami's starters. There wasn't much to get excited about. I predicted Miami won't win more than six games this year, and I feel pretty confident in that prediction.
New England Patriots defensive end Trevor Scott was a standout in their preseason win over the New Orleans Saints.
Morning take: Scott showed a good motor, which is needed on New England’s defense. He could be a nice, quiet pickup for the Patriots.
New York Jets rookie receiver Stephen Hill got the most reps in their preseason opener.
Morning take: Hill needs the reps to get used to the speed of the game. He has a lot of potential once he gets experience.
The Buffalo Bills had 14 penalties in a loss to the Washington Redskins.
Morning take: That's a lot of penalties. But not everyone playing this time of year will make the team. The Bills need to make sure the first- and second-team players clean up their act.
