Tebow came to New York with immense hype, but continues to have bad days in training camp. He reportedly had one of his worst practices Thursday. Tebow was 2-of-10 with four sacks and an interception, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.
In comparison, starting quarterback Mark Sanchez was solid in practice. He was 5-of-6 with zero interceptions and zero sacks. The Jets are wrapping up camp and preparing for their second preseason game Saturday against the New York Giants.
Tebow's passing has left much to be desired in this training camp. Tebow is a proven asset on the ground. But to truly push Sanchez for the starting job this season, Tebow must throw the ball more accurately and more consistently than what he's showed thus far in training camp.
Maybe it's a bit unfair to grade every practice. But when you're Tim Tebow, that is the situation you signed up for when you chose to be a popular quarterback for the New York Jets.
