Fred Jackson of the Buffalo Bills will be the first to tell you that he should be considered among the top-five running backs in the NFL. About halfway through the 2011 season, he made a strong case for that with his performance.
But coming off a season-ending leg injury, Scouts Inc. did not rank Jackson in the top 10. Buffalo's star tailback was ranked 11th, behind other tailbacks such as Darren McFadden, Steven Jackson and Jamaal Charles.
Here are Scouts Inc.'s rankings
- No. 11: Fred Jackson, Bills
- No. 18: Reggie Bush, Miami Dolphins
- No. 25: C.J. Spiller, Bills
- No. 29: Shonn Greene, New York Jets
- No. 34: Stevan Ridley, New England Patriots
Are these rankings too high or too low for Jackson and other AFC East running backs? What’s your take?
