The AFC East blog got off to a stellar, 3-0 start in Week 1. We look to continue to stay undefeated with a tricky slate of Week 2 matchups.
Here are our picks:
Arizona Cardinals (1-0) at New England Patriots (1-0), Sunday at 1 p.m. ET
Skinny: This is the easiest pick of the week. The Cardinals already have issues at quarterback and will start inconsistent backup Kevin Kolb. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has never lost a home opener (10-0) at Gillette Stadium and that streak will continue on Sunday.
Pick: Patriots, 30-14
Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) at Buffalo Bills (0-1), Sunday at 1 p.m. ET
Skinny: Both teams desperately need a win to avoid falling to 0-2. This is a revenge game for the Chiefs. Kansas City was embarrassed by the Bills, 41-7, last year in Week 1. This will be a much tougher matchup. The Bills’ defense improves enough this week and feeds off the home crowd.
Pick: Bills, 24-21
Oakland Raiders (0-1) at Miami Dolphins (0-1) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET
Skinny: This is one of the more winnable games on Miami’s schedule. Oakland is not a good team and going cross country is tough, especially coming off a “Monday Night Football” game. If Miami’s offense can reduce turnovers and jump on the Raiders early, the Dolphins can get rookie head coach Joe Philbin his first win.
Pick: Dolphins, 17-14
New York Jets (1-0) at Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1), Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET
Skinny: The Jets looked better than advertised last week. But this will be a truer test of where they currently stand. The Steelers are a tough, veteran team that is very tough to beat at home. The Jets lead the NFL in scoring, but not this week.
Pick: Steelers, 21-17
Last week's record: 3-0
Overall record: 3-0
