Welcome to Week 3 three of the "Sanchez-Fitzpatrick-Tannehill Watch." There is plenty of debate on the second-best quarterback in the AFC East behind Tom Brady. This is how we find out.

Let’s begin.

Mark Sanchez, New York Jets

Result: W, 23-20 (OT) at Dolphins

Stats: 21-for-45, 306 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions

QBR: 32.4

Thoughts: Sanchez had a tricky game to grade. He was shaky for the most part. But Sanchez does have the clutch gene. He made some key throws in the fourth quarter and overtime to lead the Jets to victory. Sanchez saved his best throw for last, which was a beautiful lob to receiver Santonio Holmes to set up the game-winning field goal in the extra period. Even during bad games, I like quarterbacks who perform under pressure.

Grades: C+

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo Bills

Result: W, 24-14 at Cleveland

Stats: 22-for-35, 208 yards, three touchdowns

QBR: 46.6

Thoughts: I disagree with this QBR. Fitzpatrick had a solid game with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Fitzpatrick didn’t force anything and kept the Bills afloat after C.J. Spiller went down with an injury. His drive and touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to receiver Steve Johnson was a game-ender.

Grades: B

Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins

Result: L, 20-23 (OT) vs. Jets

Stats: 16-of-36, 196 yards, one interception

QBR: 42.8

Thoughts: Tannehill perplexes me a bit. He never looks flustered during the game. But when you look at the final stats, they’re usually worst than you remember. Tannehill missed on a lot of throws -- 20 to be exact -- but the one that was egregious was his pick six to Jets safety LaRon Landry to start the second half. That put the Jets right back in the game and it was a dogfight from there. But I like Tannehill’s poise to hang in a tough game.

Grades: C-
