There was an amusing exchange during New York Jets coach Eric Mangini's news conference Wednesday.

Mangini was being asked about the upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals and lightning-rod receiver Chad Johnson. A reporter asked if Johnson was any more dangerous as Ocho Cinco.

"It doesn't matter what's on the back of his jersey," Mangini replied. "He can make a lot of plays, and he has made a lot of plays. He had a big play against us last year, a 59-yarder. He had a couple other nice chunk plays, and he's usually open."

A playful follow-up question prodded Mangini on the possibility he might change his name.

"No, I'd have to really think about that," Mangini said. "I don't know what I'd necessarily go with. I'd probably have to have some zeros."

Jane McManus of the Journal News wanted to know if "Mangenius" was an option.

"We all know how quickly those names change," said a smiling Mangini, who also has been known as 'Mangidiot.' "I'd like one that sticks."
