Morning take: AFC East report cards

October, 8, 2012
Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC East: Morning take: I was most impressed by the tempo and the running game for the Patriots. These are new elements added to New England's arsenal this season that will cause a lot of issues for opponents.
  • The Buffalo Bills' report card is not good after getting throttled, 45-3, by the San Francisco 49ers.
Morning take: The Bills deserve poor grades and showed little resistance. The only bright spot I can think of is return specialist Leodis McKelvin.
  • Here are the grades for the Miami Dolphins after beating the Cincinnati Bengals.
Morning take: It wasn't a pretty win, but this is how Miami must win games. It starts with defense and not making too many mistakes on offense.
  • Are the Houston Texans (4-0) catching the New York Jets (2-2) at the right time?
Morning take: Absolutely. Without Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis and No. 1 receiver Santonio Holmes, the Jets will need a lot to beat the Texans Monday night. I don't think New York can do it.
