Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday in the AFC East:
  • The New York Jets (2-3) suffered their second straight loss after falling to the Houston Texans, 23-17.
Morning take: The Jets didn’t embarrass themselves and put forth a game effort. It wasn’t the disaster many expected and New York had a chance to win at the end.
Morning take: Miami’s run defense is fun to watch. It’s one of the biggest reasons the Dolphins are a tough out on most weeks.
Morning take: This is a crucial time for Gailey and the Bills. The month of October probably will determine whether the Bills will be contenders this season or fade into oblivion. Last year the Bills faded.
  • New England Patriots receiver Wes Welker says his comment of "sticking" it to coach Bill Belichick was a joke.
Morning take: I think most people understood that. But the Patriots are such a stuffy football culture that jokes can be taken too seriously. Welker is funny when he wants to be.
