There has been significant AFC East movement in the ESPN.com Week 7 power rankings.

All four teams settled into new spots, but only the New England Patriots improved. They lurched four spots after their 59-0 annihilation of the Tennessee Titans.

The others slid to varying degrees, yet none greater than the New York Jets for the atrocity they committed against their fans in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Before you take a gander at the breakdown, please note there's been an adjustment to this week's voting panel. Scouts Inc. analyst Matt Williamson steps in for AFC South commissar Paul Kuharsky, who took some time off for the birth of his son.

ESPN.com senior writers John Clayton and Jeffri Chadiha and NFC West blogger Mike Sando showed up for work as expected.

No. 6 New England Patriots
  • Last week's rating: No. 10
  • Best rating: No. 4 (Williamson)
  • Worst rating: No. 9 (Clayton)
  • Note: Williamson makes his presence felt right away. Kuharsky had been more reserved with his Patriots rankings, but Williamson's No. 4 nudges them ahead of the Atlanta Falcons.
No. 18 New York Jets
  • Last week's rating: No. 9
  • Best rating: No. 14 (Clayton)
  • Worst rating: No. 20 (Williamson)
  • Note: For the first time since beating the Patriots five weeks ago, the Jets slip below them in the rankings -- and in a big way. They plummet nine spots, the biggest mover in either direction, after Sunday's disintegration to the Bills. The next-steepest droppers are the Philadelphia Eagles, who dip five spots to No. 12.
No. 20 Miami Dolphins
  • Last week's rating: No. 18
  • Best rating: No. 17 (Williamson)
  • Worst rating: No. 20 (Chadiha)
  • Note: The Dolphins had a bye but take a minor hit. The Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans leapfrog them with impressive Week 6 victories.
No. 24 Buffalo Bills
  • Last week's rating: No. 25
  • Best rating: No. 21 (Sando)
  • Worst rating: No. 24 (Chadiha, Williamson)
  • Note: Not a lot of movement for the Bills so far. They were ranked 21st through the offseason and first few games, bottomed out at 25th last week despite some wretched performances and then climb just one spot after beating the ninth-ranked team.
