Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC East:
Are the Buffalo Bills (3-4) finished after a tough loss to the lowly Tennessee Titans?
Morning take: Buffalo deserves all the criticism it gets over the next two weeks. There is no excuse for losing at home to the Titans if you claim to be a contender. If the Bills fall to 3-5 after playing the Houston Texans (6-1) in two weeks, and I don't see Buffalo climbing out of that hole.
There are concerns about the New England Patriots’ defense.
Morning take: Even in victory, New England’s pass defense made Mark Sanchez look like Joe Namath on Sunday. The Patriots have allowed big passing plays all year and that will eventually catch up to the team.
The New York Jets showed fight in an overtime loss to New England.
Morning take: The Jets showed that anything can happen in a rivalry game. New York is 3-4 but showed it still has fight left. Next week’s game against the Miami Dolphins will be big.
Speaking of Miami, defensive end Cameron Wake is having a monster year.
Morning take: Wake already has 6.5 sacks, which is fourth in the NFL. Wake is one of the reasons Miami is in contention in the AFC East.
