INDIANAPOLIS -- The AFC East blog is in Indianapolis for the Dolphins-Colts matchup Sunday. Here are the most interesting stories in the division today:
Are the Dolphins ready for the motivated Colts?
Morning take: The Colts got a visit this week from ailing head coach Chuck Pagano. That could inspire Indianapolis to play even harder. The Dolphins' toughness will be tested.
Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix clarified his comments and says he's not looking to replace quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick immediately.
Morning take: I think Nix knows, deep down, that Fitzpatrick is not the quarterback who can lead the Bills to a Super Bowl. Buffalo must draft a long-term solution next year, similar to what the Dolphins did this year.
New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is playing 97.4 percent of the team's defensive snaps.
Morning take: Mayo has been solid and leads the Patriots in tackles. He’s smart and does what he’s coached to do.
Will the New York Jets regret not drafting Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones?
Morning take: The Jets will say they like Quinton Coples at defensive end. But Jones so far looks like a better player. The Jets now have to find a way to block Jones twice a year.
The AFC East blog will be live at Lucas Oil Stadium for Miami (4-3) against Indianapolis (4-3) this afternoon. Remember to follow the blog and follow me on Twitter for all the latest updates throughout the day.
